You need one account for all of ClawBack. You create it once. Then you use it everywhere.

Creating an account is free.

Create your account

  1. Go to clawback.capital.
  2. Click Open GENKAN. The sign-in page opens.
  3. Click Create an account.
  4. Type your name. This is optional.
  5. Type your email address.
  6. Choose a password and type it in Password.
  7. Type the same password again in Confirm password.
  8. Tick the three boxes. Each box links to one of our documents. You can open them and read them first.
  9. Click Create account.

Nothing is ticked for you. You must tick each box yourself.

The three boxes are about these documents:

Don't want a new password? On the same page, click Continue with Google or Continue with Apple. See Sign in with Google or Apple.

Your password

Your password must have:

  • at least 12 characters,
  • a capital letter and a small letter,
  • a number,
  • a symbol, like ! or #.

It can't be your email address.

Tip: a short sentence makes a good password. For example: Blue-kettle-sings-at-7!

Check your email

After you click Create account, we send you an email. It has a 6-digit code.

  1. Open the email from clawback.capital.
  2. Copy the 6-digit code.
  3. Go back to the page Verify your email.
  4. Type the code and click Verify.

The code works for 10 minutes. If it stops working, click Send a new code.

Busy right now? Click Verify later → continue. You can verify later from GENKAN. Look for Verify now on the Account tile.

  1. Go to clawback.capital and click Open GENKAN.
  2. Type your Email and Password.
  3. Click Sign in.

You stay signed in on that device. If you don't visit for 30 days, you need to sign in again.

Typed the wrong password 10 times in a row? Then sign-in pauses for 15 minutes. This keeps your account safe. Wait, then try again.

Sign in with Google or Apple

You can also use your Google or Apple account. The buttons are on the sign-in page and on the Create an account page.

  1. Click Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
  2. Choose your account.

The first time, we ask you to accept our documents. Tick each box, then click Continue.

Did you pick a plan on our pricing page first? Then you go on to pay for that plan.

Do you already have a ClawBack account with the same email? If you verified it, both become one account.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot your password?
  2. Type your email and click Send me a code.
  3. Open the email from us. Copy the 6-digit code.
  4. Type the code.
  5. Type a new password twice.
  6. Click Continue.

Now sign in with the new password. For safety, we sign you out on your other devices.

Don't see the email? Look in your spam folder. Then click Send a new code.

When our documents change

Sometimes we update a document, like the Terms of Use. Then you see a page called Our terms changed. You see it when you sign in. Already signed in? Then you see it the next time you open a page.

  1. Open and read the documents that changed.
  2. Tick the box next to each one.
  3. Click Continue. You go on to the page you wanted.

You can't use ClawBack or pay for a plan until you accept. Don't want to accept? Click Sign out.

Your account and your plan stay the same. You can see what you accepted, and when, in GENKAN › Account.

The safety note

After you sign in, open SENSEI Outlooks or Live. A note appears first. It is called Before you read an outlook.

It reminds you that Outlooks are for learning, not advice. Read it, then click I understand. You see it once each time you sign in.

Language and colours

ClawBack speaks many languages.

  • To change the language: click the language button at the top of the page. Pick your language. All ClawBack apps (GENKAN, the DOJO, KAGAMI and the rest) then use it.
  • To switch between dark and light: click the ☾ / ☀ button next to it.

Your choice follows you across the ClawBack apps on the same browser.

Our public website, including this guide, works on its own:

  • Its language button changes only the website and this guide. Your apps keep their own language.
  • Its colours follow your device's light or dark setting. There, the ☾ / ☀ button changes the colours only until you close the tab.

Your organisation

Under the ClawBack logo you see Organisation. For most people, it says Personal org. That is just you.

Some people also work with a partner of ClawBack. They belong to more than one organisation. They see a switch with each name. Click a name to change. What you can see depends on the organisation you pick.

Sign out

  1. Click your name at the bottom of the menu on the left.
  2. Click Sign out.

You land on the ClawBack home page.

On a phone, first tap ☰ at the top left. The menu opens.
