The DOJO is where you study the market before you trade. It has three parts:

  • Outlooks — short studies of a market, written by SENSEI.
  • Results — how past Outlooks turned out.
  • Live — live sessions, where you watch a trader's screen.

To open the DOJO, sign in and click Outlooks in the menu on the left. Or click Open outlooks in GENKAN.

Outlooks are for learning. They are not advice to buy or sell. Please don't copy trades blindly. Read our Risk Disclaimer.

What is an Outlook?

An Outlook is a short study of one market, on one chart. SENSEI, our AI analyst, writes it.

It answers simple questions:

  • Which way might the price go? Up or down?
  • At which prices would the idea start, and where would it be wrong?
  • Where could the price go if the idea works?
  • How sure is SENSEI?

Each Outlook has a name like NASDAQ:AAPL · 15. That means Apple shares, on a chart where each bar is 15 minutes. The time part is called the timeframe.

The Outlooks list

Click Outlooks in the menu. You see the newest Outlooks first.

Each row shows:

  • Published — when it came out.
  • Symbol — the market, with a short headline under it.
  • Timeframe — the chart it is based on, like 15m, 1H or 1D.
  • Bias — the direction SENSEI expects. Bullish means up. Bearish means down.
  • Confidence — how sure SENSEI is, from 0 to 100%.
  • Valid until — when the Outlook stops being current.
  • Outcome — where the idea stands now:
  • Open — the price has not reached the entry yet.
  • Filled — the price reached the entry. The idea has started.
  • TP1 hit, TP2 hit — the price reached a target. The line under it says where we suggest your stop is now, like Stop at entry or Stop at TP1.

The list shows the Outlooks that are still running. When an Outlook is finished, it leaves this list and moves to Results.

To filter the list, use the buttons above it. Pick a type of market, like Stocks or FX. Pick a timeframe. Or pick Bullish or Bearish.

The list updates by itself when a new Outlook comes out.

Read an Outlook

Click a row to open the Outlook. At the top you see five boxes:

  • Bias — up or down, with the headline.
  • Entry — the price where the idea starts. Sometimes it is a range, called the entry zone.
  • Invalidation — the price where the idea is wrong. Many traders call this the stop.
  • Target — the price the idea aims for. The R:R under it compares the possible gain with the possible loss.
  • Confidence — how sure SENSEI is.

Below them you find:

  • Levels — all the prices in one list. TP1, TP2 and TP3 are targets, from nearest to furthest.
  • Chart — the picture SENSEI studied. Click the image to zoom. Press Esc or click ✕ to close it.
  • SENSEI says — SENSEI's explanation in plain text.

To see the Outlook on a live chart, click Load in KAGAMI ↗. KAGAMI opens in a new tab with the levels drawn on the chart. See KAGAMI.

To see the setup on your own TradingView chart, click Copy for TradingView. See Outlooks in your TradingView.

Two-way Outlooks

Some Outlooks are marked Two-way. They give two ideas: a Buy scenario and a Sell scenario.

Each scenario has a Trigger: its entry price. The scenario starts when the price reaches it. The text may also ask for a candle to close above or below a price. Our results don't wait for that close: the trade starts when the price reaches the entry.

Only one scenario becomes the trade: the one that starts first. When it starts, the other scenario is Cancelled. The cancelled one gets no result, even if its trigger comes later. On Results you see the result of the trade, and the other scenario as Cancelled.

Locked Outlooks and free reads

Without a plan, you can see every Outlook's headline and bias. The full Outlook needs a plan that covers that market.

Some plans include a few free full reads each day. The page tells you how many you have left. Opening the same Outlook again doesn't use another read.

When an Outlook is locked, click See plans. Billing opens. See Plans and payments.

Outlooks in your language

Every Outlook is translated into all our languages when it comes out. A translated label shows next to SENSEI's text.

Right after an Outlook comes out, the translation may take a moment. You then see: Translation on its way — the English original is shown for now. Reload the page a little later.

Results

Results shows how finished Outlooks turned out. Wins and misses are both listed.

  1. Click Results in the menu.
  2. Click Result › on a row to see the details.

What the words mean:

  • Hit rate — of the trades that started, the share that reached a target. A trade that Expired counts. A trade that was Not filled does not count, because it never started. A two-way Outlook gives one trade: the scenario that started first.
  • TP2 · +1.8R — the price reached the second target. The gain was 1.8 times the risk.
  • stopped at TP1 — a line under a result: after the second target, the price came back to the moved stop at TP1. The result keeps the furthest target. See Moving the stop.
  • Stop · −1R — the price hit the stop before any target. The loss was the full risk.
  • Not filled — the trade never started: the price never reached the entry. It is also Not filled when the price jumped past the entry without trading there and reached TP1 first.
  • Expired · +0.4R — the Outlook's time ran out while the idea was still running. We score it at the last price.
  • Cancelled — in a two-way Outlook, the other scenario started first. This one was cancelled and has no result.
  • Open — not finished yet.
  • Not scored — this Outlook has no result.

On a result's page, the boxes at the top show what happened. Stop · moved to TP1 shows the stop the Outlook ended on and when it was hit. Target reached shows the furthest target. For an expired Outlook, Last price shows the price it was scored at.

A two-way Outlook shows one result: the scenario that started first. The other scenario shows Cancelled. On its page, the boxes at the top show the trade: Trades, Hits and R total. The Scenarios box shows both scenarios: the trade with its result, the price where it started, its stop and the furthest target it reached — and the other one as Cancelled. The chart draws both scenarios.

If neither scenario started before the Outlook's time ran out, the Outlook is Not filled. Telegram and Instagram show each Outlook's result once.

Results are open to everyone who is signed in.

Sometimes our team checks a result again, for example when an Outlook was read wrong. While a result is being checked, it is not shown on Results and it does not count in the hit rate. When the check is done, the corrected result comes back. A result that is taken off for good does not come back.

How results are decided

We check every Outlook against real market prices, minute by minute. Nobody types a result in by hand. We never copy what a channel or a chat says about a trade.

An Outlook goes through these steps:

  1. Waiting — the Outlook is out, but the price has not reached the entry yet.
  2. Filled — the trade has started. It starts when the price reaches the entry: the first one-minute bar that trades at the entry price. A wick is enough. We don't wait for a candle to close.
  3. Targets — each time the price reaches a target (TP1, TP2, TP3), we note it.

Finished — the Outlook ends in one of these ways:

  • the price reaches the last target;
  • the price hits the stop;
  • the trade never started before the Outlook's time ran out — Not filled;
  • the time ran out while the idea was still running — Expired, scored at the last price.

A two-way Outlook is finished when its trade is finished — the scenario that started first. If both scenarios start in the same minute and the prices can't show which came first, the Outlook gets no result.

When an Outlook is finished, it leaves the Outlooks list and moves to Results. Each Outlook gets one result, only once — a two-way Outlook too. It does not change after that.

Moving the stop

When a target is reached, we suggest moving your stop:

  • After TP1 — move your stop to the entry price. If the price comes back, you leave at about the price you came in.
  • After TP2 — move your stop to TP1.
  • After TP3 — move your stop to TP2, and so on.

Our results follow the same rule. If the price comes back to the moved stop, the Outlook is finished. It keeps the furthest target it reached.

For example: the price reaches TP2, then falls back to TP1. The result is TP2, stopped at TP1.

If TAIKO sends you Outlooks on Telegram, you also get a short update each time a target is reached, with this suggestion. You get one more message when the Outlook is finished. See TAIKO.

These suggestions are for learning. They are not advice to buy or sell. You decide what to do with your own trades.

The fine print

  • We use one-minute price bars for the Outlook's market.
  • After a target, if one bar touches both the stop and the next target, we count the stop. That is the careful choice.
  • Before any target, if one bar touches both the stop and TP1, we cannot know which came first. That Outlook gets no result.
  • Sometimes the price jumps past the entry without trading there — for example when the market opens again after a break. If it then reaches TP1 before it comes back to the entry, the idea is cancelled. It shows Not filled: not a win and not a loss. If one bar right after such a jump touches the entry, the stop and TP1, we cannot know the order. That Outlook gets no result.
  • The result counts from the price where the trade started, so it can differ a little from the entry written on the Outlook.
  • R compares the gain or loss with the risk. The risk is the distance from the entry to the first stop. +2R means the gain was twice the risk. −1R means the stop was hit.
  • Spreads, fees and slippage are not counted.
  • If an Outlook has no entry, stop or target, it cannot be checked. It shows Not scored.

Live sessions

Live lets you watch a trader's screen, live, with their comments.

  1. Click Live in the menu.
  2. Pick a session at the top, like Gold or Stocks. A red dot means it is live now.
  3. The sound starts off. Click Unmute to hear it.
  4. Click Full screen for a bigger picture.

If nobody is streaming, you see Off air. Check back later, or try the other session.

Live sessions come with some plans. Without one, you see Live sessions come with the plan. Click See plans to find one.

What is said on air is for learning. It is not a tip to trade.
